WHITE WATER RAFTING GRAND CANYON

We pick you up at your hotel and head towards Hoover Dam. We cross over spectacular Hoover Dam and head towards Kingman, Arizona, and the world famous Route 66. After driving on Route 66 we will arrive at the American Indian Hualapai Lodge. At the lodge, you will fill out your rafting waivers and then be driven to the Colorado River, the only road that goes to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. At the river you will receive your life jacket, watertight camera box, and safety instructions.

Now it is time to board the raft and ride 40 miles down the mighty Colorado. You will shoot rapids like “Dragon Tooth” stop at Travertine Canyon and hike to the Travertine Waterfalls, with authentic Indian guides, with the sheer walls of the Grand Canyon towering over you.

At the conclusion of your rafting adventure, be airlifted by helicopter from the Colorado River to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. You will have a chance to see big horn sheep, wild burros, Mustang horses, newly planted Condors and many other fauna and flora. On your return, you will drive through Joshua tree National forest, which has the world’s largest concentration of Joshua Trees, the Promised Land – many exciting trips in this one tour.

I came to Las Vegas in May 2011, and pre booked to go on the white water rafting/helicopter trip on my first day there. Art picked me up at my hotel and was the perfect guide. The three hour drive taking us along Route 66 to the canyon flew by. Art was informative and was genuinely passionate, aswell as very friendly with us. I was doing the trip on my own and the seven others (all on a corporate trip) in the hummer and Art made sure i felt very much part of the group. The rafting itself was amazing and the canyon breathtaking, it was quite surreal. The native indians who run the boats were fun and were quite happy to discuss different aspects of the canyon and the history. The trip back to the hotel took us along a different route through the joshua tress and Art stopped off for ice cream on the way back aswell as lots of picture opportunities along route. we stopped at the dam and lake which topped the day off. A true once in a life time experience I will never forget with a great bunch of people, especially Art whom was as much as a part of the trip as anything, his enthusiam knowledge and lovely nature made it extra special. Thank you . Tanya. If you are thinking about booking then just do it - you will not be disappointed .

"Big Boy" Grand Canyon Tour
Hayley & Jon Moore (Statesboro, GA) 10/7/2010 4:21 PM
We went to Las Vegas for our honeymoon and decided to do the white water rafting/helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon on our last day. It was the BEST thing we did the 5 days we were there and it was well worth the money. Our tour guide, Jeff, was awesome! He was polite, kind, and knew all kinds of interesting facts (besides the normal boring stuff you usually hear) about the sites we saw on the way to/from the Grand Canyon. Everything ran on schedule and the 3 hour drives between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon went by in a flash. Rebel Adventure Tours provided us with the best customer service we received during our whole trip - from Amber the sweet receptionist, to Jeff the wonderful tour guide...everything was wonderful. If people don't enjoy this trip it is their own fault. Thanks for helping us to have an excellent honeymoon that we'll never forget!
