BLACK CANYON RIVER RAFTING HUMMER ADVENTURE TOUR
This is a unique day trip floating on a motor assisted raft and concludes with the ride of your life on board a specially equipped Hummer, (D.D.E.V.) which will take you into places other just dream about. Your tour begins with pickup at your hotel. You are then bused to Hacienda Hotel in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. After registration, you will be transported to the base of the world renounced majestic Hoover Dam, where your 11-mile scenic rafting adventures down the grand Colorado River begins.
Then you will be taken into the historic Black Canyon where you’re likely to encounter Big Horn Sheep, Coyotes and numerous western animals. You will also see some of the more than two hundred native and migrating birds including Bald and Golden Eagles, Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, Bountiful Striped Bass and many freshwater fish. Your friendly and informative guide will explain the history of the area and tell of the ancient ways early explorers navigated the river as they arrived form Mexico looking for gold and other treasures.
There are many photo opportunities along this tour, so be sure to bring your camera. After arrival at Willow Beach, Arizona, you will be returned to Hacienda Hotel where you will be picked up in your special equipped “Hummer”, Deep Desert Exploration Vehicle. Experience the ride of your life as the Hummer powers through the rugged Frenchmen Mountains arriving at the major fault line, at Lava Butte featuring Lizard Eye Ridge. Lastly you are delivered back to your hotel.
