WILD WEST GRAND CANYON  & OVER THE EDGE ADVENTURE TOUR

Ride along the top of awesome Hoover Dam and cross the mighty Colorado River. Enter a different state,
different time zone, and a different world, and all before lunch! This is only the beginning of our adventure in the
Wild, Wild West.

Your Hummer will take you over a mountain range and into some of the most remote areas of the Coconono Plateau. You will travel through vast forests of bizarre Joshua Trees to the exotic realm of the Hualapai Indians, who make the Grand Canyon their home.

There will be plenty of time to explore the rim of the canyon and to learn why it is truly a wonder of the world. Lunch is served by your native American hosts in a sheltered, open space on the edge of the West rim of the Grand Canyon; some 4,000 feet above the Colorado River. This journey is a close encounter of the most spectacular kind. A hands-on adventure you should not miss.

Over the Edge

"Over The Edge" add on gives you the thrill of taking a helicopter on a 4,000' flight from the top of the Grand Canyon down to the Bottom where you are met your professional Hualapai Indian Guides. There they will escort you to a pontoon boat that will take you on a twenty minute ride on the Colorado River, taking you back in time with stories of what life on the Colorado truly was like many years ago. Once you have completed the boating portion you will return to the top of the Canyon by Helicopter. A truly fantastic addition to any trip that leads to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon

West Rim Hummer tour 7th July 2010
christine. M (Yorkshire. U.K.) 7/23/2010 10:28 AM
As a family of four travelling the west of America for a month we went on many many tours. This was THE BEST. we went on the 7th July 2010 Richard or Uncle Rich as my teenagers got to call him was just amazing. As we are British we found him to be overwhelming at first, didn't last long though ! With my son riding shotgun with rich we picked up a lovely couple from New York..dangerous Dave and Erica, great companions to travel with.. I would say 6/8 people for this tour is perfect. It is a long journey broken up by stunning scenery and lots of info from richard. he stopped at Hoover dam and took creative pics of us with our cameras. When we got to the west rim he came with us throughout making us all laugh and creating the most amazing photos for us (wait while you get home and see)The canyon is a must see for everyone and you get there before all the coach parties arrive. a few people along the way even said "Is that your guide"?.. Lucky You. The meal we received was more than adequate especially looking across the canyon, what a spot for a picnic !! On the way back we stopped for photos at lake mead.. stunning view. At the end it was such a long hot day I didn't realise JUST how good this tour was. The Hummer is what we brits would term a bit of an Ole bus, but nifty, good fun, comfy enough padding on the seats and plenty of drinks in the cool box. Great memories for all of us, thanks Richard.
